Chad can you compare Taylor and Rubles for us briefly in terms of what type of a player UC would be getting in each were they to sign here? How they are similar, how they are different, who could make an impact next year- whatever you can say with confidence.

He's the best passer on the team (which admitedly doesn't say much), but he's also a 38% 3 point shooter

He needs to improve his confidence, but that's understandable given the limited opportunities he gets.

IMHO there's definitely a place for him to get some solid minutes next year

As for ellis he's listed at 210 which we can all agree is a lie. I will say I don't know if he needs to add a ton of bulk though. Jarvis vernardo was a similarly bodied player that was very effective while listed at 230. He also has a similar body type to anthony davis who is listed at 220.

Id say if ellis can add 10-15 pounds of really solid muscle for next year hell be in a good spot.

He's the type of guy who is so long that he doesn't need to be incredibly bulky. His length can help make up for some of his weight dificiencies just like it did for davis and vernardo

I still think Parker has his limitations as an athlete, but I've always liked his competitiveness, and he has improved enough to help us this yr. But from what I've seen, Sanders is even more limited athletically than Parker and not as versatile or able to defend as well.

What I keep seeing in so many of Mick's recruits are players (like Parker) who should be 7th or 8th men on a top 25 team, but they're forced to be more than that because of the lack of premier athletes in his recent classes. We go into next year with no heir apparent to Gates, no 2 guard ready to step in (SK lacks the quickness and ball skills and should go back to being a 6th man), question marks at the 4 spot and simply not the quality of athlete being recruited by other BE programs. I hope the younger players surprise me, but I'm not encouraged from what I've seen from this freshman class.
