I'm somewhat surprised (maybe I shouldnt be) that MT would even offer him the job. So many on here have discussed that Butch didnt like/wouldnt work for him again. Says alot about MT as an AD and where his search is going.

I hope this is true. If he turned down Illinois I think he would turn down UNC as I believe UNC is getting NCAA sanctions and it is probably easier to win at Illinois when you consider Ron Zook took them to the Rose Bowl I believe it was his first year there. I would think Charlie Strong would be a bigger target for the UNC job. I do not know CBJs ideal coaching job everyone has one ND was Kelly's. Butch being from Michigan perhaps he is waiting years down the road when MSU or Michigan open up again.
