For those of you that went to both of Liberty and Belk Bowls which one had the best overall fan experience in your opinion?
I thought both were great, gotta give the edge to Memphis due to being New Years.
Didn't make it to the UCAA event on Wednesday night, so I'm curious how that went. Did TT show up? How was the event?
The Fan Fest was small, and they had the team bands play in a parking lot that was partitioned off with a chain link fence. Lady Antebellum, who is now a huge country act, had a good crowd. Overall, the Liberty Bowl had far more events plus the benefit of Beale Street. Plus we were very fortunate to have great weather in Memphis which made for exquisite tailgating.
I vote for the Liberty Bowl and Memphis.
Not even close. Liberty Bowl and Memphis.
Thought Memphis and the Liberty Bowl was a better atmosphere. Charlotte is a much nicer city but I didn't think there was anything particularly unique about the game. The Epicentre was pretty cool and it was great celebrating the win with current and past bearcats last night, though. Beale St. is just a cool, unique attraction which puts it over the top. Although I don't like the fact that the Liberty Bowl is several miles from downtown necessitating you drive/cab it out there.
