I wish I could post regularly, but I can't. I can't keep up with all the replies after I post either.
Nothing has changed that I'm aware of. Keep the faith, UC is in a good position. We need to get to the 31st, as I expect that will be the day the first move is made.

Gee this doesn't hurt our cause.

But MOOSE!...that's (counts fingers) NINE DAYS AWAY...how do you expect us blog addicts deal with this! I need a 12 step plan...
I'm feeling like a Prom date Moose! :)
Guys you know what happens where there is smoke.
Maybe the SEC wants to plant its flag in Ohio. Don't know how that fits culturally, but the BIG has declared war on the SEC by offering Georgia Tech. Maybe the SEC decides to launch a counter offensive.
Doubt it happens...BUT...it would fit others information that it would bolster the bball of the conference and the point is that the SEC isn't worried about adding additional gridiron muscle.
If the SEC got into Ohio, there would be earthquakes in Columbus. If the SEC invited UC, I will guarantee UC will get an invite from the other Power Conferences except Pac 12. Three grabbing realestate and one protecting it.

I can count 15 year employees in the athletic department on 1 hand. No need to ask who the person is! I think UC will be OK. We seem to now have proactive leaders in the President and AD. They seem to have the support of the BOT's. Our major sports are solid. We traveled well to the BCS games even after the coach left. UC support could have been better at the Belk and would have been better if not for CBJ leaving
That WOULD be fun...wouldn't it? Probably would make ESPN happy that the BTN would take a hit.
I think the SEC would like to have a top shelf basketball ADD if nothing else. We would have our hands full winning football games,
but in time UC would compete.
Not sure if this was mentioned yet but Carl Lindner III was named to the BOT this week. Not sure how this effects anything regarding athletics but it can't hurt having a Lindner on the BOT.
There are UC Athletics employees who have been there for 15 or more years. Just because the sports teams change coaches (not all have) doesn't mean there aren't Athletics personnel — ticket office, compliance, trainers, admins, fundraisers, facilities, etc. that have those kind of service years in.
I was very happy to see him named to the Board. The UC board should be filled with UC alums and those who have strong connections to the university.
