Ask University of Utah.... Sen. Orrin Hatch raised the anti-trust issue, and suddenly the U was in the Pac12 and the anti-trust issue was never heard of again.
Of course that would take some Ohio politician to stand up for UC... If it comes from UC, it'll be viewed as whining.

There should be a congressman/senator from Connecticut, Ohio and Florida all lobbying together that there are three schools who went from inclusion to excluded (for all intents and purposes) and each state school lost a lot of money. It's really the only way to stop a runaway business model gone amok....get the government nosing around. Start threatening to take the tax exempt status away for this income (which it shouldn't be tax exempt any way).
I'm very disappointed in our local congressman and our senators as well as UC for apparently not working that or at least not working it well enough.
i'd be knocking on the B1G's door and letting them know that we're inviting ourselves and we'll be here in 2014. Be sure to have our $50M waiting when we arrive. Have a nice day!

For those of you who liked Team America, this could be the new conference theme song.
took 1.5 hours
Why are we told to not judge Islam by the actions of a few extremists, but judge all gun owners by the actions of a few killers?
I personally like this.
Let's make Toby Keith our new conference spokesman
Watch the music video for Courtesy Of The Red, White And Blue (The Angry American) by Toby Keith and more new Country and Modern Country videos on VEVO.
Only if you want to be mocked even more ruthlessly than we already are.

Is Big Midwest available as a conference name? Shortened its BMW. Simple and easy. Better than America 12, IMO.
I tweeted this a little bit ago. It's not gimmicky and doesn't seem like the conference is trying too hard. Just a thought.
If you are going to dip a foot into a pool of sulfuric acid, you might as well just jump in
"Last week ESPN reported that America 12 Conference was a favorite for the league's new name and the conference's law firm had purchased several domain names with variations of America 12 in it. However, the league's presidents responded that they do not favor a name with a number in it and are asking its marketing group for a name that highlights the metro nature of the new schools in the league, a source said."
GO BEARCATS!! FIGHT!!! FIGHT!!!! FIGHT!!!!!
At least I'm not the only village idiot that thinks we should sell the naming rights to the league....I know it is fraught with corporate agreements already in place, but we should be able to find somebody. Sprint currently paying 75MM a year for NASCAR.
It's time to be bold. The conference Formerly Known As The Big East should auction off its name. It wouldn't be a sellout -- it would be a trendsetter.
I love the idea Nuke. Seriously, the only one I like better is the "UC is no longer here" conference.
Can't argue with that one...lol
America 12 sponsored by Roco's Bail Bonds?!
Considering that isn't going to happen any time soon, I'd get use to the sound of the "Metro League"
How do you know all this? Agree it seems to be slowing down, but I can't possibly know for sure.
