Since I wouldn't trust Gee to find his own ass, I wouldn't trust his geography and surely don't trust his integrity. If he says the B10 is going SE and MW, then I'd bet on them inviting the University of Toronto.
Until UL is fully embedded in the ACC, I wouldn't take them off the table for the B10.
Think it's gotta be UVA and UNC or maybe UVA and VT, to complete the E Division.
Does anyone think Vanderbilt would possibly leave the SEC to join the B10. ?
Is FSU a B10 possibility. ? Are they AAU.? Is that a hard criteria ? For geographical continuity purposes, could UC even be in the B10 discussion ? We're not AAU but we're next in line. Could we be considered if there's a we'll be AAU in 5 years guarantee ?
GO BEARCATS!! FIGHT!!! FIGHT!!!! FIGHT!!!!!
UofL is nowhere near AAU. Not even on the AAU radar so if AAU academic status or near status is important to the Big10 there is no way UofL gets in.
FSU is not AAU either.
UC is on the list of schools that qualify for AAU review/admission but not necessarily next in line and the wait once a school is "qualified" can be years if not decades. The AAU doesn't generally just add members, usually a school is removed before another is added to keep it a prestigious club.

I would be shocked if Vandy left for the Big10.
Culturally Vandy is a southern school with a more southern alumni base.
They've been playing SEC schools for decades and have strong ties with those institutions.
UC academic profile right now is better than 13 of the schools currently in the AAU. But as you say, it does not add schools freely. It was easier to get into into the AAU when it was formed than now. And yes, UC is light years ahead of UL academically.
UC is a very fine school. Proud to be a Bearcat. Hope we find a safe landing.
If that happened then UC will go to the SEC. It is that unlikely to happen.
UC is a very fine school. I'm proud too. UC doesn't need AAU status to validate how far it has come academically but it would be nice recognition. I hope we find a safe landing place too. It is a very precarious time for UC and te future of Bearcats Athletics.
