I hope he brings KC in, in some assistant capacity. Recruiting is too damn good not to consider.

WOWSER!!!! This is amazing!!! See ya Butch!!! Welcome Coach Tubberville!!!! I thought we should have took him last time we had the chance when we hired Butch Jones. I love Butch and hope he does great but this takes the cake!!! Whit Babcock is the best AD we have ever had!!! Go Bearcats Go Babcock Go Tubberville!
Side note, Nippert expansion must be looking good if Tubberville is bolting Tech to come here!!! SO EXCITED!!!

I talked to him briefly last year while waiting in the cattle line to get on a Southwest flight out of Lubbock. He was pleasant and seemed down to earth.

Watching KY bball on ESPN while waiting for the UC game to begin and scrolling across the bottom that Texas Tech officials were "completely blindsided" by this move as I am sure most of the nation is. Feel for Texas Tech but at least the band-aid was ripped off quickly as opposed to the slow pull by Butch this last week...

Imagine tuberville and coombs recruiting together!!! Imagine those two and possibly petrino as offensive coordinator! This could be incredible! I know both coombs and petrino are probably longshots, but it could happen! Either way, so pumped about this!

I know what Whit said in the press conference, but I can't help but think there is a chance he really didn't do everything he could to keep Butch knowing this was a possibility. I hinted I thought this was a possibility in another thread and got some backlash for it as some thought it was a dig at the administration. It actually was not, it was saying perhaps they were doing what was in the best interest of the university. I am just speculating here, but the speed of this hire makes this a plausbile scenario.
