Great article, Scott. There was never any doubt that Haruki would succeed. Yes, lock down those two legacies!

Will never forget watching him literally all over the field at Pitt [when we were undefeated coming in. And, then it seemed BK forgot how to coach and the team forgot how to play...]. He was the most impressive player on the field that day with his be-everywhere appearance. That's when he became a real favorite of mine.

I've often wondered how some of our players from the MD-BK (and now BJ) eras still felt about UC. It appears this is one player (of many, we hope) who has kept UC as its Alma Mater and still has a vested interest in the fab future of UC Football.

I caught a glimpse of Haruki from my seats at the Belk Bowl. I wish I had gone over to him to tell him how great it was watching him play and how great it is to be represented by alumni such as himself. But, he was up the aisle and gone before I could get there. I am nowhere near as fast as him.

Go Bearcats. Beat Purdue.

He's another in the growing list of former UC football players that take a great deal of pride in what they have helped create.

They should be proud. They've done a great deal to make this school and its students - and alumni - even prouder to be Bearcats. .
