  • I read somewhere else that we have more wins against ranked teams than anyone in the country.

Let them try to justify our seed, I really like this team!

The only negative I can think of about this run we are on is that we have now given Xavier a Top 50 RPI win...

I understand how you feel because I don't care for them either, but Eggsavier is the last thing on my mind right now. UC is THE UNIVERSITY of CINCINNATI. We are back and now they have to worry about us!!

    47 NC st
    48 Seton Hall fingers crossed
50 Miss st say prayers losing 6 of 8...tough time deciding between this team and Drexel...changed my mind 5 times.

    OUT
51 Drexel---could make it if committee wants another CAA team to make a run?
51 Washington say prayers Ari or Col took your spot
    51 Northwestern blew it again

A Xavier loss today I may adjust but the numbers and eye test look like this.......I am assuming memphis beats Marshall this morning they are up 18 and playing on home floor, real fair huh......Xavier win they move out of playin game a XU loss and Washington or Drexel may move in, I will have to relook at new numbers.....Oh and to all the XU fans the RPI is awesome, I love the RPI the rpi shows which team is better......lol.........look at ours now!!!

  • Yahoo / Rivals has us as a 4 SEED currently......

  • Palm now has us as a 7
Inexplicably, Lunardi still has us as an 8. We were a 9 in his bracket going into the BET. We beat RPI #13 Georgetown and RPI #1 Syracuse and that's only good for a move up 1 line????

  • I looked at Lunardi earlier, too, out of curiosity.

The bracket says today's date, but the icons on the bracket have Notre Dame as a No. 5 that is moving up, and UC's No. 8 seeding doesn't have us moving a momentum indicator showing us moving up or down.

I'm reading that as two signs that the bracket really hasn't been updated today -- except possibly at the bubble fringe.

  • Seth Davis has the Cards at a 4, so you would think that if we beat GT, SU and UL, we should be a 5. No?

If the Cards are a 4 now with similar records and I would venture to guess we have more quality wins.... and we were to beat them tonight. I would think 4 for sure.

I think that's right. People look at the 4 or 5 seed and think about teams with powerhouse profiles in that spot. I look at that the 4 to 6 seeds as vulnerable because could take those seeds from schools like Wichita State, Creighton, Murray State, Indiana and others.

  • As a comparison, I went back and checked what the selection committee did with last year's bracket. UConn went from quasi-bubble status to winning five in a row to earn the Big East tourney title, and they ended up carrying a No. 3 seed into the tournament.

With a win tonight and credentials like a victory over the No. 1 RPI team and more victories over ranked opponents than any other team in the nation, I would really be surprised to see us any lower than a No. 4. We would have earned the BE title by only winning three games, but to do it, we would have had to beat in consecutive days a No. 3 seed, a No. 1 seed, and a No. 4 seed.

  • After sleeping on it I am having trouble with the last 2 teams thats it

    BYU
    NC ST
    Seton Hall
    Drexel

    OUT
    Miss St
    Washington
    Northwestern

I believe Seton Hall and NC St will just slip in. I think after going back and forth all night that due to the CAA performance in the dance the last few yrs and the fact that Drexel played without Thomas in the finals of the CAA, Thomas is now back, those factors I think Drexel will get the last spot.
Miss St is very talented but they just dont try. The RPI is terrible like 72, SOS is terrible. They lost 6 of 8.
Washington won regualr season in a bad league. Pac 12 was winless out of conf vs top 25. I think they have shot but trouble.
Northwestern has chance cause Big 10 best conf this yr by the numbers they might want 7 teams..

Palm has 67 same as me, he has Northwestern over Drexel
Lunardi has 67 same he has Miss st over Drexel but I hear he keeps switching like me..

  • Lundardi posted final s Curve with Drexel. He now has MSU 3rd out.

    shaunsimpson

  • Xavier loss just knocked out that decision.

Last 4 in S Fla, BYU, Seton Hall, NC St...............

    OUT Derexel, Miss, Northwestern, Washington

Congrats to local Oak Hills grad and St Bonnie asst coach Dave Moore......

  • Sucks that Mike Davenport wasn't able to be a part of that win. He's a Moeller guy.
