Correct me if I'm wrong, but USF isn't even on the bubble right? They're OOC was 10x worse than ours if I recall correctly.

For what it's worth, Jerry Palm finally had to break down this morning and put UC into his bracket.

The guy is an abject lesson in getting hung up on your own criteria. Yeah, we get it, Jerry -- you think UC didn't play much of an out-of-conference schedule. On the other hand, there's the more recent evidence of them going 10-5 thus far in the No. 1 conference in the nation. You tell me which is more relevant to how this team is playing now and how they project into the tournament?

This is what I and many others have been stating for weeks...bad losses are one thing but who else on the bubble has the wins UC has...

Cincinnati is one of the more difficult teams to seed in recent memory. It really boils down to how much you believe the committee is going to weigh RPI/SOS relative to RPI top-50 wins. I tried to find a happy medium at a #9 seed. The Bearcats computer numbers are appalling (74 RPI, 114 SOS, 319 non-conference SOS) but no teams behind them in today’s S-Curve boast the same abundance of quality wins: at Georgetown, Louisville, at Connecticut, Notre Dame, Seton Hall with a 6-4 true road record and a 10-5 mark in the Big East. That’s an impressive portfolio for a supposed bubble team without even glimpsing at the RPI. One has to believe Cincinnati is in at 11-7.

Glockner's latest Bubble watch says "Xavier lacks quality wins". So again, why is their almighty RPI so high?

I know I spend too much time bitching about them, but how they're even on the bubble is really puzzling to me. At Vandy is impressive. Home against Purdue? Not so much. I guess zipping up UC is turning out to be a pretty good win for them after all. So perhaps they'll have to thank UC in the end.
