Its nice that as of now he is going to pay his own way too. I am kidding of course but this news means that a current player(maybe incoming guy) is out of the picture. I know it "works itself out" but there are not many predictable scenarios that open a scholarship. I can think of two. SK leaves or moorman doesnt make grades.
Moorman does not make the grades. Chad is moorman a post grad? If he does not qualify can he go prep school like Elijah Macon is for wvu and then grab him for 2014 or would he have to go juco
I have to believe that the Bearcats win in Newark yesterday had some effect, especially with the style of play.
Rutgers Undergrad - UC Law School - follow me on Twitter @RUJerry for news about UC, RU and other sports information.
I think He'd have to juco. I believe he's already in prep school this year
Welcome to Bearcat Nation Jermaine! I think you can do big things here if you work hard.
Now it is really a " SUPER" Bowl Sunday.. Great news !!!
As a parent, how Mick handled Cash when he got hurt I am sure went a long way. To hear a coach state it is about his future says a lot. We will take a loss rather than hurt our player. We still won but it could have been a loss but Cash as a person is more important.
Wow, good news is a really nice change of pace. So excited for Jermaine.

I'm not going to make the douchebag comment "Lawrence > Obekpa" because nobody really knows how it's going to play out. But, this feels pretty damn good.
btw thanks, Dave Simone for the heads up. I was outside when this all went down. Nice to get out of the cold AND to read this news on twitter.
Makes this an ever better weekend. Lavin loses (twice now), Gottried loses, Mack and Xavier lose. UC wins on and off the court! HUGE!!

Huge get for the Cats, Cronin and Savino.
I expanded my list to include 4 stars and the numbers are just as interesting. If you limit it to 4 and 5 star signees/commits from NY/NJ over the past 5 years there is only one school who has signed more than us and that is Syracuse. Here is the breakdown:
Cuse- 4 (Four 4 stars- Ennis & Roberson 2013, Coleman 2012, Waiters 2010)
Cincinnati- 3 (Two 5 stars- Lawrence 2013, Stephenson 2009. One 4 star- Thomas 2011)
UConn- 2 (Two 4 stars- Facey 2013, Calhoun 2012)
Villanova- 2 (Two 4 stars- Pinkston 2010, Cheek 2009)
Miami- 2 (Two 4 stars- Reed 2013, Scott 2009)
UCLA- 1 (One 5 star- Anderson 2012)
Kentucky- 1 (One 5 star- Kidd-Gilchrest 2011)
Duke- 1 (One 5 star- Irving 2010)
Tennessee- 1 (One 5 star- Harris 2010)
Illinois- 1 (One 4 star- Colbert 2013)
Pittsburgh- 1 (One 4 star- Young 2013)
St. John's - 1 (One 4 star- Obekpa 2012)
Virginia- 1 (One 4 star- Tobey 2012)
VCU- 1 (One 4 star- Johnson 2012)

West Virginia- 1 (One 4 star- Hinds 2011)
North Carolina- 1 (One 4 star- Strickland 2009)
Wow that is something, I am so excited. We have a real shot to be top 10 next yr even with young team, I also was told JD been playing well in practice and could also fight for time at pt. We need 1 guy to step forward and be the pt gd and then after that so many options I would love back line of Lawrence JJ Rubles and then Shaq,,,,,,wouldnt it be something if Rub played some pt....wow how big would we be.
I just saw it on ESPN's ticker this is super news to go along with the Super Bowl!!
