i looked at it on my personal computer once home and now see what you are talking about. i thought you were calling the black base blue...i see what you mean with the blue within the white pattern.
Also looks like they may be putting "Represent the C" on the back. I REALLY hope not since that motto was a Lyle motto and had nothing to do with basketball.
to me the shorts look baby blue with black accents. I have talked to people who agree with me and others who swear up and down they see no blue. Guess well have to wait for the full Pic.
ill say this. Louisvilles are clearly red. UCLAs are clearly blue and gold. why ours can't be clearly red and black is beyond me.
I'm very confident the pattern will look strictly black and white once we see them in person. I see the blue as well, but I don't think it's the material that's actually blue, I believe it's a combination of shadows and poor resolution that are creating that "blue" color.
Sounds like they will have the sleeves even though a source inside the athletic department told me several times they would not...

Let me take a step back...
and why wouldn't we add sleeves for kids who have played without them their.whole life.
Not like the games well be wearing them for are important or anything.
Sounds a whole lot like last year when everyone was confident they wouldnt look as orange in person...
They're back! Look for our MBB post-season uniform release tomo, along w/ retail info. #adidas #infrared #Bearcats -- Whit Babcock (@WhitBabcock)
sounds like the sleeves might be an attempt to get fans to buy them.
SK does not like sleeves. He liked last year's 50th anniversary unis because of the thin strap look.. Those were shamed away after the Crosstown Punchout. If you've noticed, he often fiddles with the shoulder area of his shirt throughout the game. The players, particularly your best, should be consulted on things like this. Logical?
I'd say that's reaching a bit Scott. None of the guys like the wide shoulders on the current unis but that is nothing like dry fit sleeves similar to a compression shooting shirt...
If I was SK i'd take some scissors to the short sleeves before every game if they are in fact short-sleeved. Adidas may not like that though...

But the point remains that most if not all of the guys don't wear compression shooting shirts for a reason. I know cash and cheikh wear one, but other than that no one does.
I understand what adidas is trying to do (sell jerseys), but its just such an odd time to mandate players wear sleeves. I'd think you'd want to give guys time to get comfy with them instead of having them wear them for the first time in a game that could decide our postseason fate.
I'm Ok with that (as if that mattered). However, I've never seen SK with sleeves. If they win, they're the best idea ever. Sales-wise, it's all predicated on winning. Kids do like the compression shirts.
I agree that is the main reason. You will never see me in a basketball jersey, but if it is a jersey with sleaves then maybe, but I can't see the players wanting those.
I wish they would reveal them already, I am getting bored with this little bit each day. No one cares that much just reveal the GD things!
I am pretty annoyed with adidas and their jerseys right now.
Our players have stated they don't like the wide shoulders, yet we are still wearing them.
Now we might have to wear jerseys with sleaves? It may be fine for some but to not give guys other options is rediculus.
Football has different types of jerseys to allow for players to wear what fits their needs best. Heck they apparently even make jerseys that let Alabama players hang their bellys out all game.

Just throwing this out there... If ND wanted their jerseys changed then Adidas would have new jerseys for them the following week. We've been wearing these jerseys as long as i've been at UC with the some complaints every year. Yes its nice Adidas chooses UC as part of their new jersey lineup every year but even with the blackout jerseys I have felt like there hasnt been much thought put into UC jerseys. Guess we'll have to wait until next season to see if we actually get new jerseys.
As a fan I feel like demand would be lower for a sleeves jersey because it might be uncomfortable or whatever. Dan Cronin said he never saw any sleeves. I'm one of the few that have liked all our uniforms we've had this and last yr and will reserve my opinion until I see them
they may not have sleeves. It sounds like the schools had the choice of whether or not they wanted them

It does say Represent the C on them but still no sign of sleeves or the actual jersey.

I hear the shorts say "hold the rope" down the side and larry davis will be hip bumping players coming into time outs.
How many people do you know who west basketball jerseys? Maybe I'm in the minority That know of no one with a basketball jersey. I know I would never wear a basketball jersey without sleeves. Unless you have well-defined arms they look ridiculous - And my arms are made of putty. If they had a men's uniform that would be able to be made into a loose fitting shirt I think more people over 25 would buy one.
