Do the Dew!!
I've been extremely impressed as well with all of the marketing.
Cool, but beer cans are mre effective with the Cincinnati crowd!;)
Why are we told to not judge Islam by the actions of a few extremists, but judge all gun owners by the actions of a few killers?
The grassroots marketing has been very strong.....I am hoping it is effective and is translating to better sales
7,800+ yesterday coming off of a loss vs the worst team in the conference can't be too bad can it? that was 6%ish better than our avg attendance of 7,344 last year.

weekday 9pm games are terrible for most fans...i know my mom didnt get home till after midnight
Yeah, I forgot to make the point in the game thread that a few minutes into the game the crowd looked a whole lot better than what it appeared it would be right before tip.
Someone has to work on the times of our games. Noon games on the weekend and 9pm games during the week can't happen. People want to go to games, but there are times that aren't good for people to go to. Kids really don't want to wake up before noon on the weekend and adults can't really stay at the game until 11 pm during the week. I was thinking of going last night, but I thought I wouldn't be getting home until well after midnight and I have to get up early the next morning.
Not going to happen. All times are dictated by tv and try as they might no one at uc is going to get espn to change their tv schedule for us.
I don't see how the 9:00 start time would affect students at all. That is what I hope we can keep building up. I know it was only Providence last night. I hope they don't think its only Seton Hall on Saturday. That is a really big game for us.
I was told today that there are already 10K plus tickets spoken for on Saturday...

I'm tired of this excuse.
Everyone else in the midwest plays at noon on the weekends and has late week-night games. We have 2.1M people in Greater Cincinnati with 200,000 UC alumni and 40,000 students. It shouldn't be that hard to get 13,000 people to a basketball game

That's good. I know this was one of the games where they gave away tickets if you went to the Liberty Bowl. Hopefully those that received free tickets show up or give them to someone who will use them.
Agreed. There are two seperate parts to attendance, the first being distributing the tickets, the second being getting people to use them.
To that end I wonder how many tix were distributed for last nights game
Close to what was announced. Let's just say a lot less were actually used...
Ok that nmakes sense. Thanks chad.
