WLW the tabloid radio is saying that Mick is upset about the crowds and his money compared to others and will leave after the season. Bill Cunningham is more than likely making it up some but you know what? He has a point. I think right now people are not going to watch little sisters of the poor versus UC. I wish more would. Maybe at minimum buy up season tickets and donate them to a handful a charities that will actually use them. Then when the big boys come use the tickets yourself. Cronin does deserve more support. He also deserves more salary. If he wanted to leave, any school in the country that had an opening would hire him in a heartbeat. It is also time to stop taking him for granted. The people in this city perplex me with their lack of support but will be the first complaining when the success is no longer there.

I think he is making it up too but don't think for a second that Mick is not disappointed. This town has for too long taken him for granted. The program is not about Huggins - yes, some are still bent even though all those parties are long gone. It is not about a juvenile grudge because he left to improve his coaching skills - and probably witnessed things from his boss he did not respect. This man has re-built this program out of his love of the city and school. Fans need to appreciate that. Yes, the opponent is not that great last night and Saturday but we need to make sure we all get our collective butts in those seats and support this school. You cannot complain that your team and program is not good when you did not support them. I hope UC does reward Cronin with more money. He has the #11 ranked team in the country built with little resources. Coach, if you read this board, know there are many who appreciate you and your efforts.

Are we sure cunningham said he was definitely leaving? or just postulating that cronin could / should leave?

If you can do it, the tip off club is the equivalent to the 1200 club with minimum 1k donation.

I'm debating buying 4 tix for the rest of the season and donating them.

Hopefully the Nippert expansion news comes with 5/3 upgrades.

If things shake out for me personally in the next month. I will also go ahead and buy Basketball season tickets and donate them.

Can any of our sources on this board just quiet this rumor?

I figure he'll be out to get a big raise, but early season attendance has increased every year and I would expect most of the Big East season to be close to a sellout.

Wether he is an idiot or not perception is everything..He certainly knows when to attack a man..when he's down.we need Mick"s take on the present .state of UC Bball..
