I meant from an experience standpoint. However, it certainly wouldn't be a ridiculous thought. Again, it seemed like a lot/most on here thought Sanders would be an immediate impact player and was the best recruiting of the class which included Shaq. Now all of a sudden Shaq is way better than Sanders. The hype that gets built from sitting out is amazing.

Since this thread is all about hype, I'll throw my hype observation of the day out there:
Cash Wright this winter has become the best UC point guard since Nick Van Exel.
(Before the naysayers chime in with these points, I'll qualify it by saying I consider Steve Logan to have been a shooting guard and, while Kenny Satterfield was probably more talented, he didn't show enough of it during his brief stay at UC to earn the designation.)

Steve Logan was most definitely a PG, just didn't run it as much when Sat was there. His senior year he was an all american at the PG position.
No offense to Cash but I think Sat was better as well. Cash still has a year and a half left though.

Regardless of if Shaq starts or not, he's one of the few guys on this team that could be a super star. Personally, I don't care who starts and I'm certainly not going to try to predict how long it'll take Shaq to put it all together - but it shouldn't be thrown out of consideration.

My thoughts about some of these players:
I've liked Ellis' talent, but have been very concerned about his physicality. His upper body frame (on tv, at least) looked so thin to me that I wondered how much heavier and stronger he could get. Of course, getting taller helps, but he will need to get much stronger.
Shaq's shot has been my main concern ever since seeing brief film clips. If he can develop a consistent shot, he should be a lock at the 3, surpassing Sanders whose ability is limited.
SK at the 2 is a question mark to some degree: mediocre ball skills and quickness. He's really a tweener (between 2 and 3) to me. Of course, it depends on how Mick would use him at the 2, but his ball skills need to improve if he's to assume a different role than his present one.
