Tony Campana

If you missed it Tony Campana was called back up a few games ago. He is now 4/6, but just as much of note he has 3 SBs. He is a joy to watch and must give opposing catchers and pitchers a heart attack when he is on the basepath. Rumor is that the starting CF for the Cubs will be traded and Campana will get a lot of playing time until a super prospect that the Cubs have is ready.

I guess I'm surprised after how well he did last year that he was sent back down?
4,400 UCAT members. UL have 10k. Why haven't you joined? $50 minimum to start. Membership matters.

I believe Marlyn Bird (Spelling) has already been traded. I wish Tony was a red.

Thanks.....my knowledge of the Cubs is minimal even though the Reds are in their division. from what I understand Bird (or Byrd) was playing to get traded and that the plan was to bring Tony up the entire time. Who wouldn't want a player like Tony on your team. He doesn't just have the speed, but he has the baserunning inteligence that a certain player on the Reds lacks at times.

2 for 4 starting and hitting leadoff today. Also had a stolen base. In 25 plate appearances (not including sacrifice since I didn't see how many of those he had) he has 6 stolen bases. A normal stating outfielder's plate aplrtances would have way more than 120+ stolen bases at that pace. He has also scored 6 runs already.

His biggest issue is that he doesn't walk enough. The speed is great, but once his average comes back down to earth as the season goes on, he has draw walks to get on base and use that speed.
